Over the last decade Georgia’s power industry, particularly  the  renewable energy sector has experienced considerable development resulting in major regulatory and legislative changes. BCO has acted as legal advisor on many of the energy sector’s most complex and important transactions from financing  major projects to ongoing operations. We have assisted our clients in preparation and negotiation for  main project documents, such as project implementation agreements with the Government of Georgia, the power purchase agreements (including guaranteed power purchase agreements) with the electricity sector commercial operator of Georgia (“ESCO”) and transmission and dispatch agreements with the Georgian State Electrosystem JSC (the sole dispatching licensee in Georgia), as well as  preparation of the relevant financing and security instruments.
